Hi, I’m colorblind, and this is a video that I made to help you to find out weather you are or you are not color blind. Being color blind is somehow cool, but I would wish that i’m normal visioned.

Question by perseph1: ANA test – How high is “positive”?
Many sources (reliable and not so) say “positive ANA occur in about 5% of healthy people”. I’ve found references in peer reviewed published research to criteria for “positive” in research as anything from 1:40 to up to 1:80. My ANA is 1:160 and I have fatigue, weight loss, fevers, bad headaches, rashes (face and arms/legs), sometimes disabling joint pain, paresthesia + a family hx of autoimmune disease (mixed connective tissue). But when I ask about my ANA level which is reported “positive” by the labs who run the bloodwork, I’ve had two doctors dismiss it and quote the old “5% of the healthy population” line. I’m looking for a reliable, more concrete reference what that healthy 5% have as ANA levels (I mean does that 5% include folks at 1:40 and 1:80?) Even some reference to what is used conventionally in a clinical diagnostic (not screening, diagnostic) setting would be helpful. Thanks.
ANA = antinuclear antibodies
They are antibodies to parts of your own cells.

Well, the symptoms you described ARE pretty basic and just about anyone could have that from other problems, not just anorexia if that’s what this is talking about. Just because you fit those symptoms doesn’t mean you’re anorexic. Do you have any of the psychological symptoms? That’s a main thing you need to look at first because it doesn’t seem like you mentioned any of those.

The color vision test plates are from two commercially available color vision test books – “Color Vision Testing Made Easy” and the Pseudoisochromatic 24 Plate Color Vision Test by Dr. Terrace L. Waggoner. There are seven pediatric color vision test plates and six adult color vision test plates. The video is for screening purposes only – not for a diagnosis. For a diagnosis, see my validated online color vision test, www.TestingColorVision.com , or a vision care professional.

Question by Johnelle Fairytail: Why is the devil doctors trying to make my “friends” have a down syndrome baby test?
The doctor said “would you abort if the baby had down syndrome” they said yes. So they rang the clinic who said “It is $ 200″. Hmm, so they pay $ 200 for a “indication” of down syndrome, with a one in 400 or something chance.

Question by yezzzir: What does this Down Syndrome test result mean?
AT 16 WKS I got blood work done to test for down syndrome. I have a letter from my clinic with a referral to a genetic counselor & amnioscentesis. For reason it says: “24 y/o with (+1) for down syndrome.” I’m sooo scared & worried now. What does this mean exactly.?!

Best answer:

call the clinic and ask them to clarify.
test results are tricky and they’ll be able to clarify it better than anyone on here.

Question by Liz: For those of you who don’t believe that the quad test is accurate…?
I just wanted to give an update….I had my quad test come back with high levels suggesting Downs. They said I had a 1:40 chance according to the screening. When I got to the perinatologists office for my level two ultrasound, the tech told me that the baby looked “very abnormal”…that was the worst day of my life. She only had two heart chambers, and she had cystic Hygromas on the back of her neck (basically fluid filled tumors which were bigger than her head), she had fluid in all of her major organs, edema of the skin etc. which had progressed to “hydrops”. I believe my baby girl had “Turner Syndrome”. She had a 0% chance of survival. I am just saying that at first, I thought the quad test was a joke because of how unreliable everyone was saying it was. But, now I am thankful that it’s there to help us find out if anything could possibly be wrong. Unfortunately, we didn’t lose Piper until 18 weeks pregnant. Now I know to use every kind of testing available for our next pregnancy. This was a random chromosomal abnormaility that was out of our control. We are still in shock that this happened to us. My husband and I are healthy, under 30, and have no genetic issues on either side of our families. These tests aren’t always wrong.

Oh, how sad. I’m so sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I don’t believe the triple and quad screens are not accurate, but I won’t get them done because their rates of accuracy are pretty low in my opinion (60ish% for triple and about 80% for quad). It’s a personal decision every couple needs to make, if they want those tests done.

Again, I’m terribly sorry for you both and your little angel.
