After being diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, Dr. Elaine Leong Eng, author of “Martha, Martha”: How Christians Worry, knew she had to make important life changes. This genetic disease would soon cause her eyesight to fail. Her impending blindness meant that she would no longer be able to practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist. Question by tyk80: what’s a catchy compare/contrast title for essay of two authors writing about disability “blindness”?
I’ve written a paper comparing and contrasting Helen Keller and Jim Knipfel in which both are disabled. They’re blind. I always have a hard time trying to come up with a title for my essays. This one is no exception. Appreciate all the help, thanks!

Question by tchristi07: Is the following scenario disability fraud?
I know a person who receives disability income from health problems associated with a large weight loss. (close to 300 lbs.) But… he works at convienance store 8-2, 5days a wk, gets paid under the table, is a high school coach (pd. with paycheck,) and then is a sports journalist for a local paper, (pd. by another co-worker under the table, his name appears in the paper.) He says, “once disabled, always disabled,” but he can’t make, but so much money on disability, or else he’ll have to pay taxes on it… Also he pretty much lets his son sit home, flunk school and braggs that “it’s another 300 mo. income for him,” as long as his just turned 18 old stays in school. Is that the truth on disability? He’s out to the wee hours of the morning covering games and running himself ragged, it doesn’t seem like he’s disabled to me.
I’m just curious, he’s one of those people always putting me (& others) down in order to elicit sympathy from others about poor him, disabled and working 3 jobs…

The stories of the thirteen men and women featured in this book offer the kind of inspiration, wisdom, and hope that all come from enlightenment and triumph following a deep personal struggle. Although the stories are unique and very personal, their lessons are universal.
