no matter how great or poor they actually did, when they say “won” they really just mean “said things I agree with”…

which, if the person is debating a democrat, and you’re a republican… then of course they will say more things that you agree with?

do Republicans ever think they lose with this seeming “standard” of debate “wins and losses”?
during the presidential elections, I remember liberals though Obama did well in two debates and poorly in one…

while republicans thought mccain won all three?

I`m in a really complicated situation & I need advice.. pls

I know this guy for about 3 yrs he`s 24 & I`m 23.. I just dunno if he sees me as a best friend or a lover! coz I have feelings 4 him & I love him so much..
So, I decided that I can`t hide it anymore & I have to ask him about his feelings..
I wanted to make it so simple & just ask him directly..”where do I stand in ur life”?
But, that didn`t happened..
The reason that made me to decide to ask him this is that I`ve seen him lately in chatting rooms chatting with other girls..
So, I went online with a dif. nick name & he was using a dif. one too!
we both know our IP …
He chatted with me & tried to see if I`ll flirt with him too & even tried to ask q`s about me when he didn`t dare to ask while he was with me..
I acted like I didn`t know it was him! I acted like I was dumb.. & started to tell him that I love a guy who doesn`t know this..etc & he was shocked when he realized that guy was him!
anyway, what he said was.. “sweety, never love someone coz u love him coz he`ll cheat on u.. love someone coz he loves u coz he`ll never do this”! also he said.. “why don`t u tell that guy the truth? why don`t u reveal ur feelings for him..what do u have to loss?” !

So, it ended like this way & it`s been like 3 days I didn`t hear from him.. & I didn`t dare to call..coz I`m assuming now he knows that I love him.. he can make a move if he really loves me & if not then he`ll leave it this way.. I think I`m even making this easier 4 him if he wants to leave me..
But, just now he called.. & I was sad & sleeping.. he felt it & he was like heeey merry christmas.. and why u r sad or sleepy? I just told him it`s ok I was just laying down.. & I didn`t talk much so he said hey I`m getting sleepy too.. so ok call me when u r awake later.. .

Now, I dunno what to do.. he knows & I thought he wanted to let me go.. but now he calls..
Why would he call if he doesn`t love me?
btw, his parents r divorced.. & when I 1st knew him, he told me that “I don`t want u to love me and I don`t want to love u..coz lovers tear apart, while best friends remain 4ever”!
I don`t know if it because of his parents.. or that he really doesn`t love me
I don`t know what to do.. PLS any advice? what do u think? I`m really desperate!

He probably said that becoz of his parent’s divorce, everybody needs love! REAL love.
Tell him that you like him… even if he doesn’t like you, you’ll feel better, i promise

“Uh,yeah. I guess?” I asked,more like a statement.
“You didn’t hear? Debbie just died Devon.” I felt a sensation in my chest to cry but held the tears back. “Huh,no me and Debbie talked last night.” It turned akward in a weird way. Her skipping around school and laughing right when she was about to tell me my girlfriend of two years died. I mean what the heck?
“How?”I asked just as a tear slid down my cheek.
“Car accident,her baby sister died to.I guess it was on the news.I’m surprised you didn’t hear. Well got to go! Bye Devon.” I gasped,waking up from my horrible dream. My alarm scanned 2:46 but I didn’t care. I fumbled for my phone then dialed Debbie’s cell number. It took a while but she answered. “Huh?”
“Hey babe.”
“Devon!What the hell? It’s 2:48! In the morning!”
“I needed to check on you.Sorry babe.” Then I hung up. Wow,such a weird talk,I heard from my brain. I already knew this was going to be a long day.

I think you kinda wrote in a unrealistic way. You need more details on how he is reacting. And the conversation moves too quickly between the too. I mean it’s kinda like…oh hey debbie died. What? yea dude she died in a car accident…i mean when you keep reading it’s like oh hey devon’s alive, but this guy just heard his girl died, be realistic about how he reacts.
And then when he finds out she is alive, be realistic about that too. I mean hello! A rush of relief washed over him, he smiled at her voice, the way she sounded so cranky in the morning…Do you understand?
You need to give yourself time to set up the conversations. Put in detail. Describe emotions.

Before I get a lot of lectures and “you stupid idiot” comments…hear me out.

What if I work out 6 hours a day (done this before). I can work out 6-9, and then 3 hours in the evening. If I keep this at a steady pace, I can burn AT LEAST 350 calories an hour

350 x 6 = 2100 calories burned

If I reduce my intake to about 500 calories, and my average need for calories is 1600, then that’s another 1100 calories burned.

2100 + 1100 calories roughly equals 1 lb a day.

So in three weeks, if I keep this up, I can lose 23 lbs.

Do you think any diet pills will help me? Has anyone tried any diet pill that has worked?

Note: Don’t give me any “rapid weight loss” lectures. I had to leave school last semester (medical leave) for bulimia. After treatment, I basically ate everything, EVERYTHING in front of me, and gained a ridiculous amount of weight. I can’t go back to school looking like this. Nobody will believe I left for an eating disorder. Nobody will understand.

I like this a, partly because it’s not pretentious. Most poems I find here are sort of hollow words that seemed to have been looked up on a thesaurus, meant to have some deep meaning or other. This is really nice.

soy protein is protein derived from the soy bean… whey protein is protein derived from whey… protein would not make you fat unless you were overly consuming it… each type of protein has a different digestion rate and which one you need will depend on what you’re taking it for and protein is protein… the only other thing that should be in your protein is flavor… if you’re working out, you should take protein afterwards, maybe even before, but typically afterwards would be better

Now before we start I want to say I have no interest in dieting and I have no interest in those so called “Weight Loss” drugs, Why do I have no interest in dieting I hear some of you asking.

Well im 17 5’11 215lbs I only have a small gut (Believe it or not and the only reason I have that is because I can’t choose what I eat, the food is here is all thats here, & my dad is not big on veggies.) We eat about 2-3 fast food meals every other 2 weeks (because he gets paid every 2 weeks.)

I am the fastest kid around (another believe it or not) , I love carrots and Celery(sp?), I can not eat any fish because Im Allergic to all things seafood! I’m also not one of those people who think looks are the only thing that matter.

I’m insane with walking because I have this thing where when I start thinking I start walking and when I really start thinking hard I start running.

My question is, is there any kind of specific workout made for someone like me or regular running and workouts work fine?
I did say every 2 weeks right. Not every week.
BTW I’ve heard of Tony, and I <3 Subway but Firehouse Subs is better and much more healthy.

We received 1099-C, cancellation of Debt and I heard that we need to file this because this is considered as “income” But the reason why we got this was that my husband was involved in a car accident and his car went “total loss.” It was not his fault at all. By filing this 1099-C will make a big difference in our return (less refund) It seems unfair to me! Could somebody explain what 1099-C ?!

a Canceled Debt is just what it says. Someone you owed money to canceled the debt for you, so now you don’t owe any longer.

This would not be the case in a car accident. You need to contact whomever sent you the 1099C and find out what’s going on. Otherwise you’ll be required to pay income tax on that amount just as if you earned that money.

The only explanation I can think of is that IF you owed $ 10,000 payoff on the car loanand the car was only valued at $ 8,000. The insurance company “totalled” the car and sent your lender a check for the market value, or $ 8,000. That left another $ 2,000 still owing on your loan. If you didn’t pay that, the lender MAY have agreed to canceling the balance of the debt.

Then you would owe tax on the amount of the cancellation. That is probably what happened. (Did the lender attempt to recover money from you after the accident?)

In that case, it doesn’t matter whose fault the accident was.

Like when you hear about some tragedy like the shooting in the Amish school – do you have an impulse to say something like “our prayers are with you”?

Or do you do a “new age” technique and send your energy of love?

Or would you just express your sorrow to them in words if you were a neighbor? Like “I’m sorry for your loss.”

No, I never pray nor would it even occur to me. I don’t send energy either. I say things like, “I hope everything goes well”, “I’m so sorry for your loss” or “good luck”, depending on the situation. Good question, thanks for asking.
