I have posted this due to fact that large amounts of people on this section Insult islam for not giving Women Rights. I would like to share this with you.

Basic rights:

In a truely Islamic society women have the following rights in Islam:

1. The right and duty to obtain education.

2. The right to have their own independent property.

3. The right to work to earn money if they need it or want it.

4. Equality of reward for equal deeds.

5. The right to express their opinion and be heard.

6. The right to provisions from the husband for all her needs and more.

7. The right to negotiate marriage terms of her choice.

8. The right to obtain divorce from her husband, even on the grounds that she simply can’t stand him. (pls note that God deeply frowns upon divorce as a solution unless there is hardly any other alternative but it does not mean that men have more right to divorce their wives than women do.)

9. The right to keep all her own money (she is not responsible to maintain any relations).

10. The right to get sexual satisfaction from her husband.

11. custody of their children after divorce.

12. to refuse any marriage that does not please them

Comapring the Bible and Koran:

1. The Bible Convicts Women as the original Sinners (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}.

The Koran Clarifies it was Adam Not Eve {Koran 7:19-25}

2. The Bible says “The Birth of a Daughter is a loss” {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}.

The Koran says both are an Equal Blessing {Koran 42:49}

3. The Bible forbids women from speaking in church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}.

The Koran says women can argue with the Prophet {58:1}

4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as an Adulteress, not men {Matthew 5:31-32}

The Koran does Not have Biblical double standards{Koran 30:21}

5. In The Bible, widows and sisters do not inherit Any property or wealth, only men do {Numbers 27:1-11}

The Koran abolished this male greed {Koran 4:22} and God protects all.

6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives {I Kings 11:3}

In The Koran, God limits the number to 4 only under certain situations (with the wife’s permission)and prefers you marry only one wife {Koran 4:3} The Koran gives the woman the right to choose who to marry.

7. “If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives” {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}

One must ask a simple question here, who is really punished, the man who raped the woman or the woman who was raped? According to the Bible, you have to spend the rest of your life with the man who raped you.

The Prophet Muhammad Says {Volume 9, Book 86, Number 101} Narrated by Aisha:”It is essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the marriage)”.

Would the Non-Muslim men reading this prefer the Women they know to be Christian or Muslim?

8. The Bible also asks women to wear veils as in Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10}

9. Women were given rights to Vote less than a 100 years ago in the (US), while the Koran gave women voting rights almost 1,500 years ago.

I’m not saying you country does follow biblical law…as a Muslim i have to respect that the Bible comes from God and is the word of God HOWEVER the words in the bible have been changed, laws have been changed. Actually i came to this country not to escape my Sharia Law…I came here because have the rights to….Your country invaded my country so for the time being i’ll stay in the UK.

On Wednesday, I got a letter in the mail. It had my address, but it did not say where it came from. So I opened it, and it was Sympathy card. I was thinking, “What the Hell? I did not lose a loved one.” I read the front and it said “With Deepest Sympathy.” On the inside, it said “May your fondest memories bring you peace in your loss.” Then there was a letter inside the card, and I opened it.
It said:
BreAnn, Please leave us alone, we don’t want to hear from you anymore!!
Your father and I agreed that we have a new family now, there is no room in our lives for you with the baby around.
I didn’t give your dad the letter you sent, he will never know about! Understand?
We tried to give you hints, but apparently you are too stupid??

I have been hurt so bad from this scenario, that I haven’t talked to my father. I’m afraid to now because of what she will say to me. And I definately do not want my little brother around her if she is going to be drunk all the time. She probably won’t let me get anywhere near the baby now. I had talked to my boyfriend Victor about this the night it happened. He was in shock. But he said that Diane did not have a right to say all of those mean and hurtful things about me. I have contacted most of my family on my father’s side, and they said that they want to know what is going on. The worst part is, I have no clue what made my stepmom turn her back on me! I have not done a damn thing to her for her to be treating me this way. What should I do?

Question by Dee: I’m upset at this guy’s reaction?
I went out a few weeks ago with a new guy for the first time. We had great chemistry, etc. Against my better judgment, I went back to his place for a nightcap. Things went beyond what I expected them to and I ended up staying the night. He sent a quick text the next morning to see how I was, and said he would be away on business the following week. I didn’t hear from him for a week – so I sent him an email asking how his week was going. He responded that it was great and that we’d catch up this week. I again didn’t hear from him all week and this was the 2nd time I had a feeling I was being blown off…feeling sensitive because I liked him and slept with him. I sent him an email this morning telling him that if he wasn’t interested that I would prefer to know and that sleeping with someone on a first date is not a norm for me and I was feeling used. He responded that I assumed wrong, that he know sees how I “am” – and that was all he needed to know..?? he also said that he travels, he’s busy and that it was “my loss” I am really confused and very hurt by his response. Your thoughts?

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Relatives and friends of Lorenzen Wright gathered Wednesday and grieved for the former NBA player who has been missing for 10 days, as police investigated the discovery of a man’s body outside of Memphis.

Wright’s uncle, Curtis Wright, told The Associated Press that police called the player’s father, Herb Wright, Wednesday afternoon with the news he had died.

Sgt. Alyssa Macon-Moore of the Memphis Police Department wrote in an e-mail to the AP that police were investigating the death of an unidentified man beside a wooded area about 15 miles south of downtown Memphis. Asked if the man was Wright, she wrote they could not confirm the victim’s identity Wednesday night.

The family issued a statement through a cousin of Lorenzen Wright, Camella Logan: “Lorenzen’s family has come together to mourn his loss and honor his legacy. We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and condolences as they are comforting at this very difficult time. Additionally, we ask that you please respect our privacy as we try to cope with his sudden loss.”

Wright’s mother, Deborah Marion, arrived at the scene Wednesday night with a handful of family members. She crossed the crime scene tape and tried to talk to police when she was told to move back. She sat in a TV van before returning to the tape. Two officers then let her through.

The distraught Marion then started running down the road toward the crime scene before being stopped by an officer. She spoke with officers, then walked back past reporters without speaking straight to a van.

The 34-year-old Wright was last seen July 18 when he was expected to fly out of town. His family filed a missing person report July 22.

Wright played 13 years in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and most recently the Cleveland Cavaliers with 17 games in the 2008-09 season. Wright left the University of Memphis early for the NBA, and the Clippers made him a lottery pick with the No. 7 selection overall.

He averaged eight points and 6.4 rebounds in 778 career games.

By nightfall, nearly 200 people had visited the road blocked off by police while TV news helicopters showed investigators scouring the grounds for evidence. Police brought in a mobile command center that further blocked off the scene.

Former NBA star Penny Hardaway, who played at Memphis two years before Wright, said he heard the news from a friend and went to the scene near where the body was found.

“I cried. The emotions hit me immediately. It’s just sad because we lost a good person and a brother,” Hardaway said.

Elliot Perry, another friend and former Memphis player, also was at the scene. Wendy Wilson, who once worked as Wright’s personal assistant, also was there and said Wright often used the road police had cordoned off as a shortcut to his mother’s house.

“He was a good person. He did not deserve to die this way. God is not pleased with this,” Wilson said.

Memphis Grizzlies majority owner Michael Heisley issued a statement late Wednesday saying, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Lorenzen Wright. We lost a member of the Grizzlies family. Lorenzen delighted fans on the court with his passion and off the court with his generosity in a Memphis community that watched him grow throughout his playing career …”

The slow whispering wind tickled my ears as I ran.
My heart raced as ever so suddenly I felt a firm grip on my hand. I soon laid on the floor panting for breath.
A man looked over at me as he took ahold of my legs, standing up from his tackle.

Slow tears errupted from my eyes as I glanced at his blood red eyes, his ghostly pale face, and his Murderous appearance. He began to drag me against the mossy ground, my back hitting against the small twigs that snapped under my weight.
Soon nothing felt real,the air I breathed grew still and my lungs ached at the loss.
“Hasssseoooss..” the man hissed. I cringed at his bloody mouth and his snake like tongue.

He picked me up from the ground by my shirt, and I noticed the cryptic atmosphere, I shivered in fear as his red eyes searched my face for utter fear, and he found it.
Willow trees hung their dew stained leaves around us, and the moon, bright and yellow, looked almost close to touch. The stars didn’t sparkle, only one shined brightly, and it was the one I wore around my neck.

The protection charm, that never worked…

The man looked at me, and shook me, as to awaken me from my transe.

He would kill me, and I was ready to die, to become nothing more than dust, to be a spirit, to be anything but this.

I finally realized he had stopped walking against the eerie green path, and he dropped me down slowly on top of a large boulder.

I awaited my fate, I awaited for my death, even thought I could get away.

“Get the bloody hell away from her!” Wicky screamed. My eyes light dimmed, I was under a spell, my thoughts, my only tranquility, had undergone trespassing.
I heard the whisk of a knife, and with all my strength I screamed out for Wicky,it came out as a hoarse whisper.

“Wicky!” I fianally managed.

Then the blanket covering my actions broke, and I felt free, alive again.

I slowly staggered up from the rock, and the man laid on the floor dead.
Wicky held a small knife in his hands, so tightly, that flood poured down.

I stared in awe as he met my game, and we stood eye to eye for minutes.

A frown room over his worn out face, as he fled into the forest.

I realized he had dropped the blade, andi picked it up.

“Wicky….” I muttered.

I stabbed the blade into my stomach and rolled back onto the boulder.

I wanted to die…

My wish would have to be my command..

My vision turned slowly white, and Wicky came back, crying.

The Boy of Wadastrian Woods…the legendary boy…the boy my age…crying?

He placed his hands over my wound, chanting the ancient words of Asriathesia, his eyes glowing a pure white as the magic took place.

I would live when I would like to die, and I felt my eyes grow weak, numb, I was falling to a deep sleep.

My senses slowly died down, and I could only feel soft hands pick me up and carrying me away.

Soon after, only the wind.

And then there was…..nothing.

Do you like it or is it too cliche? I don’t know…..sorry if it is long…I just didn’t want to leave anything out..

The story is about Vienna the peasant of a scared village. The village hides as their eis a demon outbreak and they begin killing everyone. She goes and learns about a legendary forest sprit named Wicky and plans to take him to the village to show them they would be protected if they lurked, though she soon learns he is thought of to be an omen and is forbidden to seek him out…but will that stop her?

So….well there it is..hope you like it…and tell me if it is cliche…I know there are spelling errors, but I will edit soon ^^ so no need to worry

My first thought on reviewing this is that its very disconnected. The story needs to flow better.

Question by kelly: Has anyone here settled their Discover or other credit card debt for less than full balance?
I have a Discover card with $ 3,500 balance. It’s been in “collections” for 4 years and has also gone to court where some kinda judgement was entered (I didn’t show up for that so not sure). On my credit report it now shows as “profit & loss”.

I’ve been really scared of talking to them bc I’m soooooo embarassed. < !> Yes I know I should have known better but I didn’t.

My mortgage banker told me to call Discover Card and try to “settle” with them for 1/3 or 1/2 the debt amount. He says since it’s been a “bad debt” for soooo long they will probly be happy to get any money to settle it.

Has anyone done this themselves??? If so, what were the magic words you used? I heard it can be very difficult and take a long time (months)??? Is that true? I have to get this cleared up within the next 30-60 days so I can get my mortgage started.

Please help!!!

Yes. the banker is right you can settle for less than you owe. Just tell them you don’t have the 3500 dollars. They will ask you if you have any of it, you say a little, they say how much. You name your price. Be prepared to pay what you say you can pay and haggle a bit. They will act like you owe them but really when it comes to credit card debt after a bit of time the credit companies see it as a loss, write it off as the cost of doing business and sell the debt to debt collection people like Profit and Loss or AR collections. Just ask them to work with you and take this as a lesson learned.

I hit a pole in the parking garage at work. I only have basic coverage, not comprehensive, so even though my front bumper came off, I will have to pay for that myself.

I filed a claim and online under “Coverage at Time of Loss” it says Property Damage $ 5,000 EACH ACCIDENT NO DEDUCTIBLE

I am waiting to hear back from the building about what, if any damage was done to the parking garage, but assuming that there was some, does the above coverage mean that I do not have to pay anything for it to be fixed? (Assuming it’s under $ 5000).

Also, for a minor incident like this, how much would my insurance go up? And does it happen right away or do they wait for the renewal to jack the rate up?

The $ 5000 is for property damage only. There are other amounts listed for automobile and passenger damage.

i dont know what will happen in this case /however you are underinsured at 5grand per accident/you whack a new car that has 9500 bucks in damage you gotta come up with 4500 bucks/5 grand was ok in 1965 but now days you can do 3 -4 times that damage/say your going down the street-swerve to avoid kid running into street/hit 2 cars and then finally hit 1 parked/all told you have 20 grand worth of damage and 5 grand worth of coverage/your in the soup for 15 grand/wages are garnised etc/anything you own is confiscated and sold/if you have house mortgage they slap a lien on it/and thats considered one accident

According to the IPCC Bangladesh will lose 17% of its land by 2050 because of rising sea levels caused by global warming.

Given that man-made global warming started around 1950, according to current theory, what has the effect of it been so far on Bangladesh’s land area?

According to Bangladesh’s own government scientists, the country is actually GAINING land, as an interview with a Bangladeshi newspaper made clear:

So contrary to IPCC predictions, and global warming theory, Bangladesh is gaining land, not losing it. Mahfuzur Rahman, head of Bangladesh Water Development Board’s Coastal Study and Survey Department cannot understand why the IPCC keeps insisting that Bangladesh will lose large areas of land. He says:

Yes. For over thirty years the scare of rising oceans has been the mantra of the IPCC and the “Global Warming” political action groups.

The Maldives used to be the place that alarmists pointed to and predicted that soon the atolls would be completely under water. There was a photo of a tree by the coast that was used to show the effect of the oceans moving further up the beaches of the islands.

This “Marker Tree” as named by the environmentalists showed that over thirty years passed and there was no increase in ocean levels.

So the environmentalists did what should be expected of them and cut down the tree. They wanted to remove any evidence that the Earth isn’t warming, the ice caps aren’t melting, and the oceans are not rising.

So, it ended like this way & it`s been like 3 days I didn`t hear from him.. & I didn`t dare to call..coz I`m assuming now he knows that I love him.. he can make a move if he really loves me & if not then he`ll leave it this way.. I think I`m even making this easier 4 him if he wants to leave me..
But, just now he called.. & I was sad & sleeping.. he felt it & he was like heeey merry christmas.. and why u r sad or sleepy? I just told him it`s ok I was just laying down.. & I didn`t talk much so he said hey I`m getting sleepy too.. so ok call me when u r awake later.. .

Now, I dunno what to do.. he knows & I thought he wanted to let me go.. but now he calls..
Why would he call if he doesn`t love me?
btw, his parents r divorced.. & when I 1st knew him, he told me that “I don`t want u to love me and I don`t want to love u..coz lovers tear apart, while best friends remain 4ever”!
