DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchived.blogspot.com There have been numerous experiments performed on human test subjects in the United States that have been considered unethical, and were often performed illegally, without the knowledge, consent, or informed consent of the test subjects. Many types of experiments have been performed including the deliberate infection of people with deadly or debilitating diseases, exposure of people to biological and chemical weapons, human radiation experiments, injection of people with toxic and radioactive chemicals, surgical experiments, interrogation/torture experiments, tests involving mind-altering substances, and a wide variety of others. Many of these tests were performed on children and mentally disabled individuals. In many of the studies, a large portion of the subjects were poor racial minorities or prisoners. Often, subjects were sick or disabled people, whose doctors told them that they were receiving “medical treatment”, but instead were used as the subjects of harmful and deadly experiments. Many of these experiments were funded by the United States government, especially the Central Intelligence Agency, United States military and federal or military corporations. The human research programs were usually highly secretive, and in many cases information about them was not released until many years after the studies had been performed. The ethical, professional, and legal implications of this in the United States medical and …

Not having something that you once posessed. That is what comes at the top of my head.

Creating accessible environments for people is our #1 priority. Almost half of Canada’s total population is made up of those who are over the age of 45. We are aging in large numbers and seeking ways to remain independent. Since only 7% of Canadian seniors eventually move into a long term care facility, it leaves 93% living either on their own, or with family and friends. We are facing a demographic tsunami and we will all feel the effects. We have to improve access now! Business is becoming more aware that people who have special access needs expect, and have the right to expect, the same services and opportunities as everyone else: independent travel, accessible facilities, trained staff, reliable information and inclusive marketing. More accessible public and private buildings mean more people enjoying business and social opportunities. Society as a whole benefits when everyone can avail him/herself of job opportunities and spending because this results in a greater tax base for the community. Accessible environments benefit everyone! The demand for accessibility offers real opportunities for renovators and builders to develop and incorporate accessible and universal design built for all. ReliAble Independent Living Services ®, aims to meet this demand. As a home modification business founded in 2003, we aim to help make Canadian homes and businesses accessible to all. We bring together the home health care industry and the home and workplace modification industry to …

Question by gws35: More hope and change? More “job loss” recovery?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100125/ap_on_bi_ge/us_nabe_survey
Economic survey: Slow recovery continues
“Of the 75 NABE members from private sector and industry trade associations interviewed for the survey, all said they are making business decisions with an eye toward positive economic growth in 2010. Sixty-one percent of survey respondents believe real GDP will expand by more than 2 percent in 2010 — up from 45 percent of respondents in October.
“For the second quarter in a row, price increases have been more common than price cuts. Only 8 percent of respondents said their companies cut prices in the last quarter.
“Meanwhile, job losses are slowing down. While the unemployment rate remains at 10 percent and many economists expect it to increase in the coming months, the percentage of companies cutting payrolls fell to 28 percent from 31 percent in NABE’s October 2009 survey. Also, 29 percent of those surveyed expect their companies to hire over the next six months, up from 24 percent last fall.”
To sum up – businesses are HOPING for economic expansion…
Rising prices is a GOOD thing…
And companies are still cutting jobs, but not as many as before.
We’re still on the “less bad” phase of the recovery.
Haven’t we been hearing this song and dance for at least six months now?
When is anything GOOD going to actually happen?
The Dow has fallen back to 10,250, it’s been stalled in the 10,000′s since mid-October. Unemployment is still 10 percent and expected to rise.
This is not even a “jobless recovery,” this is still a “job LOSS” recovery.
Would you consider this a sign of a healthy economic recovery?

Answer by W J
Until the government bans outsourcing and restores the trade balance, unemployment will always continue to rise and the economy will never recover. A jobless recovery is an oxymoron. We are heading towards a situation like the Great Depression and no one wants to admit it.
