Rehabilitation Services for the Blind (RSB) provides services to people with varying degrees of visual impairment, ranging from those who cannot read regular print to those who are totally blind. These services are provided on the premise that with adequate preparation and reasonable accommodation, each blind or visually impaired person will be able to achieve his or her maximum potential in the home and community, in educational settings, and in employment. In Fiscal Year 2009, RSB assisted 266 blind and severely visually impaired Missourians in reaching their employment goals. Of the people leaving the program, more than 80% achieved a successful employment outcome.

The buses were to help bring children to school and take them home and so give children with visual impairment a chance at education and independence. The children greeted their UK visitors with this rendition of their school song. ©2006 Ray Wright. Used with permission.
