In April 2008, Dr Herzog is interviewed on a St Louis local news channel about hearing loss in older adults. Hearing loss many times is mistaken for Alzheimers or early dementia. Dr Herzog talks about cochlear implants being an option for older adults where hearing aids have failed. His studies have shown implanting older adults are just as successful as implanting young adults.
