We’re in a world right now where everyone wants to ‘fit in’. in other words, look and act the same as everyone else. I believe being different isn’t a bad thing at all. My brother, who has down syndrome, is the happiest person i’ve even met in my whole life. He teaches me so many things and he makes me a much better person.

I’m really worried right now.. my boyfriend found out he had ” Down syndrome ” .. well he said the doctor told him that, because he had like.. this small bump on his face ( he been having it but his parent didnt know it was serious ).. and i was wondering what Down syndrome can do to you, can someone tell me please?

i think you have something wrong. Downs syndrome is something you are born with . I has nothing to do with a small bump on your face. maybe you need to go and ask the doctor something more.

‘Kids Like These’ – DOWN’S SYNDROME What is it? Down’s syndrome (also called Down syndrome) is a genetic condition known as trisomy, where a person inherits an extra copy of one chromosome. People with the syndrome have three copies of chromosome 21 rather than two. This additional genetic material changes the finely tuned balance of the body and results in characteristic physical and intellectual features. It’s not known why this abnormality occurs, but it affects around one in 1000 babies born in the UK – about 750 babies a year – and is the most common cause of learning disability. Different types There are three types of Down’s syndrome: Regular trisomy 21 – all the cells have an extra chromosome 21. Around 94 per cent of people with Down’s syndrome have this type. Translocation – the extra chromosome 21 material is attached to another chromosome and one of the parents may carry the translocated chromosome without any signs of the condition themselves. This accounts for around 4 per cent of cases. Mosaic – only some of the cells have an extra chromosome 21. Around two per cent of people with Down’s have this type, which tends to result in milder features. What are the symptoms? People with Down’s syndrome tend to look different they typically have a flat facial profile and eyes that slant upwards. umm ive never heard of some one gettin down syndrome thats something your born with…now either your boy said something else…or your a complete idiot…o your just trying to be mean..either way do your research

Question by V: Down Syndrome Blood test came out Positive?
Hello Please anybody there I need some answers ..

So im about 12 weeks pregnant and I went to my OB/GYN last week they took out blood and I received a call today from my ob/gyn saying that one of my blood test came out Positive for “Down Syndrome” I was in shocked when I heard that .. I don’t know what to do now I feel so Depress .. I will have an Anatomy Ultrasound in 2 weeks.. would they confirm me there if my baby really have Down Syndrome??

hon that test is final… im so sorry but just know that god had a reason for giving ur baby downs and theres a reason for everything itll be okay u could have an abortion if your depressed but i think u should have the baby because god will guide the way home for your baby and you and dont have an abortion bc theres a reson for everything so
