This eleven minute film is about Self-Determination and students with visual impairments. Self-Determination is curriculum that teaches expertise such as managing emotions, generating choices, understanding yourself, taking risks and self-advocacy. We show these principles in action in a range of settings at the California School for the Blind in Fremont, CA. Film by Chip Curry and June Waugh.

FireVox is a screen reading extension for FireFox browser (www.firevox.clcworld.net The official version of the plan does not help an italian voice. Filippo Battaglia at Visilab Study Lab of the University of Messina, has integrated FireVox with ML-FreeTTS library, making ML-FireVox, a totally free and open-source screen-reader for italian users with visual impairments.
