Many wireless users are challenged by visual or hearing impairments, but specialized and mainstream wireless applications are becoming more accessible thanks to innovative wireless services. CTIA talks with Wireless Rehabilitation and Engineering Research Center Project Director Jim Mueller about the newest developments in this area.

Kay Quinn is the Manager of The See Foundation, an organisation based at Westmead that that provides support to 30 adults with multiple and severe disabilities including vision and hearing impairments. Kay has attended a number of IT workshops ran by TRI and in this video she tells us about the training experience. During 2010 we have some exciting new courses such as . . . Managing Survey Data: This course will show you how to use Excel to manage survey data (includes Pivot Charts and Tables!) Creating Effective Surveys: In partnership with WESTIR, we are proud to present this course on creating effective surveys using Survey Monkey – 4th March only! Creating Budgets and Managing Finances: In this workshop, you learn to use Excel to create budgets and effectively manage finances. Report Writing and Big Documents: We have also introduced a new Microsoft Word course that will help you master long documents and report writing. Also, new in 2010, are our IT Information Sessions – only per session! This series will keep you up-to-date about IT solutions and how they can help your organisation. Each session is only two hours in duration and cover a range of topics such as design, presentation skills, planning your website, making most of Google and more! And of course, we continue to offer Microsoft Office Skill Based Workshops: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, Outlook.
