Well let me start by saying that I’m 15 years old and in 10th grade. It was only yesterday that I was starting to think that I have Down Syndrome (probably from paranoia). The reason is because I have a speech impairment (in 1st and 2nd grade, I was sent to a class for people who have problems with communications) and I was cursed with a big head with a round face and chubby cheeks(although it’s most likely genetic). I am a tad bit shorter than most people in my classes and I am husky sized. I have a bad smile which admittedly makes me look stupid. I also have eyes that slightly slant upwards and I have a medium sized neck (more on the short side). I also have weird accent. I am not even physically fit, as I can only run a mile in 10:30 minutes. Because of my speech impairment, people call me “retard”, and unfortunately, I let it get to me. I have a weird and awkward personality which also causes some people to think I’m “retarded” and I am also anti-social. People pick on me but I am also harmless. I have very sensitive nerves that make me twitch/flinch easily. I’m vary lazy too. I even have an F in my Algebra 2 class. As of my physical features, a lot girls call me ugly causing me to have a low self-esteem. Some days I let their words get to me, and I start questioning myself like “Am I really retarded?”or “Do I have Down Syndrome?”. Sometimes I am not even sure what I am, because recently, I got my high school exit exam test scores and I passed with flying colors (mathematics- 419/450, English- 410/450). I can even write a full page essay on a complicated subject in less than 10 minutes . Even the people that called me ‘retarded” who also happens to be in my English class ended up asking me to do their simple to do essay. I have an open mind on most things. I don’t drink or smoke since I find it pointless. I’m highly aware of government corruption. I’m aware of the ignorance of some people. But I’m still not sure if I have Down Syndrome or a very mild form of mental retardation as I do have some characteristics of them. Does this sound like the life a person with Down Syndrome or retardation? Is my life similar to those that have these disorders? Am I just weird? I know I went off the topic in some parts and its probably a confusing question.

You seem like a smart guy. You don’t have downs syndrome. Haven’t seen your FB pic as i don’t have FB at the office. I know a friend who falls into the same physical description as you. He holds a good job as he too is very intelligent, but has a speech impediment, short and heavy built, slightly mongoloid features etc. He is now very much loved by his friends and has a wife and son who dote on him .He too remembers being made fun of in school, but school is not forever. He is a sweet sweet man with a wonderful nature. He no longer lacks self confidence as he has the love of his family who think the world of him.
