Baby sign language has quickly become a national phenomenon garnering significant attention in the media and among child health experts. Simply put, baby sign language provides a way for parents to communicate with their hearing babies before they can speak. By teaching infants a few basic gestures or signs, parents are able to bridge the gap between the gurgling stage and the time when babies are actually able to talk.
This easy-to-follow book illustrates 150 of the most common and use

An introduction to sign vocabulary that is specific to math. Many interpreters, teachers, and students are unfamiliar with specialized sign vocabulary because the concepts occur infrequently in daily communication. In this video a Deaf professional signs vocabulary related to his field of expertise. The signs being demonstrated are commonly accepted by the Deaf community, but may not be the only sign for a specific word. Signs often vary across the country, so viewers are encouraged to confirm that signs used in this video are those used in their area/region of the country. Where appropriate, more than one sign or combination of signs are demonstrated in this video for the same English word. This title was produced by Jacksonville State University ( jsu.edu ). Question by edoedo: Why do hearing people feel dumb if they don’t know Sign Language?
I don’t mean to be rude but everytime when they write down and said ‘I feel stupid that I don’t know Sign Language” or ” I am stupid because I don’t know Sign Language” .
So, my question is why do they or why do some they think they are stupid? Honest, I don’t think they are stupid and it is not their language but why do they think they are stupid?
I am asking this to all hearing people because I am Deaf.
To the mom.123: I am not calling anyone stupid but the question is why do they think they are? I don’t think they are stupid.
To the mom123: Understood.

I don’t think I am stupid but I have a friend that is deaf and I am learning sign language so that I can talk to him. I am taking out dvd’s from the library to learn sign language. I am having fun learning. it is always great to learn a different language. my friend is also helping me learn. within the month, I have learned so many words. and I can not wait to learn more each day. I know you where not calling anyone stupid. sometimes people don’t know how to act around someone who is deaf. but you should not treat them any different then a hearing person.

Never, in all her days, had she imagined herself in a position like this. Vivid fantasies aside, Rachel had never considered acting on the impulses that invaded her thoughts throughout the day. They were private affairs stored only in some scurrilous recess of her mind. Yet her mind interacted with other minds, and often, there were fragments of information to be had in often ironic ways. Doctor Bass, for instance, listened to her confession of the scandalous gearshift penetration mirage, and

Question by Hally M: Will Christians who oppose stem cell research boycott this cure for blindness?
“BRITISH scientists have developed the world’s first stem cell therapy to cure the most common cause of blindness. ”
From this article:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/health/article6122757.ece#cid=OTC-RSS&attr=2015164
Is the Christian objection to using embryonic stem cells going to extend to their boycotting of the results? If you oppose this research, are you going to deny yourself and/or your children the chance to be cured of blindness?
Just curious how far your ethics extend.
**mt 75689 — this is not a swipe, this is an honest question about how far Christian ethics extend, and if, even though they do not support embryonic stem cell research, they will still be partaking in the fruits of it. If this question exposes some latent hypocrisy, it’s not MY fault. Don’t shoot the message-bearer.

Just don’t murder an innocent and yet unborn baby to get those stem cells, and I’ll be quite fine with the stem cell cures.
Before you go take the life of an innocent baby prior to his or her first breath, do it to yourself first and see how YOU like YOUR life being aborted, and if it suits you fine to have YOUR life taken from you, then you go right ahead and take the life of the unborn baby.
It is, after all, hypocritical to say you support abortion if you’re already living!
