www.WestwoodASL.com This video still needs some work – way too much ghosting around the edges compared to my other videos. However, I wanted to get this video out to celebrate July 4th. If I can fix the ghosting problem I’ll upload a better one later. This version of the Star-Spangled Banner in American Sign Language is a simplified one that I teach my ASL students. I have made a few minor changes in this version compared to the older one to make it more accurate. Enjoy! http American Sign Language, ASL, Star-Spangled Banner, National Anthem, Fourth of July, July 4th, Deaf

I absolutely love this! many years I have been trying to find someone signing this! This helps me practice for when we do this in our asl V class this semester
@bmos2339 Awesome. I’m glad you’re learning ASL. Good luck!
You did an amazing job at signing the national anthem it has helped me learn it for my asl class that i am taking at school
@xuxuyoyo LOL. Ummm… thanks.
I LOVE YOU
Loved it!! Looking forward to starting online classes thru your website for someone on a budget who is going thru surgies which will diminish my hearing even more I am very excited SOMEONE is willing to bring the world of communication to me without breaking my bank
Thank you very much.
Glad to know this video is getting good use. *smile* The Pentagon? Very impressive. I bet you and your sister did a GREAT job!
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video! My little sister and I used it to learn the National Anthem so that we could interpret it at a retirement ceremony at the Pentagon this month. I was very pleased to see a true ASL version on here.
Absolutely beautiful.
I’d love to see that version.
Thanks! Maybe one of these days I’ll try to create a more moving version that dives into the depth and beauty of ASL. This particular version is aimed at ASL students.
This is beautifully done, I have to say (again). Moving. That is truly expressing the patriotism of this song–even the way you’re standing, with your posture expressing pride. Excellent.
we are working on it and im telling them to be quite every chance i get cuz i really do wanna do great in your class! i was also wondering about the asl 3/4 play that they are doing what kind of help were you needing from the asl1 kids??
Glad you enjoy my class. Now you and the other 3 in your chat group gotta get a good handle on it or I’ll kick you in the butt and split you up. *grin*

Thanks Jessica! It’s fun having you in my class.
Nah, there’s no eye-twitch. It’s just the editing (putting in the background, etc) that makes it looks a bit rough.
Thank you very much! I appreciate the compliment!
Beautiful job!! Thank you for sharing. (Smile)
