That every one is labeling people! I mean seriously! At school your a nerd, or your popular, or your a slut! And then when you move up to having you home your either middle class, poor, or rich. And then there’s all these medical labels; depressed, mentally retarded, you have “physical disabilities”. Why can’t we all just be. What have you been labeled? And what do YOU think about it? what grinds your gears?

People like to make labels, they always have. From the days of ‘I man you woman’ to the ‘Hypochondriac, or the bi-polar, or even the ‘mentally unstable’.
It’s a form of organization in cultures. I agree completely, it sucks, and it’s an incorrect biased to be associated directly upon a label that you were branded with. However, the people that are ‘branded’ or ‘labelled’ often times refer to themselves and take comfort in the organizational labels they fall under. More often though, the label is a hinderance or an incorrect assumption. Definately someting to get your gears grinded about. 
My gear grinding is people who make assumptions. Not always based on labels, but that is definatley part of it. I cannot understand how people simply believe that they know everything, if they’ve decided it, then it must be so. I wonder what it takes to be so one sided. The sad part is, in most cases a brief explanation has them looking like a complete ass, and they continue on and again to do the exact same thing. I believe in 2 modes, ass mode and non ass mode. Non ass mode – shutup if you don’t know what your talking about. I guarantee if you do this, you will suceed fabulously in this mode. Ass mode – you know exactly what your speaking about and can be an ass to anyone who argues and has no sources for backup. This second mode is only available to the individuals who are completley versed on the subject and well researched. You must be able to state your forms of research as well for backup purposes.

The next time someone asks you to take a check for 100 bucks, you’ll know why. ( trustworthy, deadbeat, crackhead, 50/50 chance ) All ‘labels’.
As long as people exist, there will be labels. Read the earliest writings or listen to old stories, there’s no getting away from it. The thing is: You get away from it and be an example to others. We all have had labels put on us from day one and will always be labeled until the last day. Don’t worry about the labels. Once some people find out what you DON’T like they make it a point to call you that,so just stop worrying about labels and what people call you. Just know who you are, what you are and do the best you can.
