Question by Abidur Rahman: Why is the letter “d” capitalized in the name of the genetic disease, “Down syndrome?”?
I am doing a take home test about genetic diseases, and 1 of the genetic diseases on the take home test is Down syndrome. I am just curious.

Named after John Down who first described the symptoms.
