I work w/ kids who have varying degrees of V in the public schools system. My job involves helping teachers w/ modifications. My kids with low vision are more difficult for others to understand than those with no vision. I like what she says about the guide dogs because some of my kids think they can ignore their O&M skills if they have a dog when in fact your O&M skills have to be superior in order to qualify for a dog. I agree that senses don’t become enhanced. They ar relied on more.
