I ask because the technical aspects of poetry ought to appeal to you if that’s the case. It can almost always be said that rhyme scheme and meter add to the musical quality of a poem. Think about how that might apply here.

This poem is an Italian sonnet (in form, not nationality). Think about how the rhyming lines tie the poem up into little packages. Are they 4-4-3-3? Maybe just 8 and 6? You decide.

To answer a question like this requires that a person (and you, especially) relax the mind a little bit. If you really bang your head against this question, you are likely to get nowhere with it.
